The website's purpose is to create an online community for summer and year-round residents of Sylvia Lake. The site is not officially affiliated with the Sylvia Lake Association, but it does provide a forum for Association events and activities and receives donations from the Association for hosting expenses, etc.
The website began in November of 2003. This retired teacher needed a project to keep her technology skills current. The website gave me a way to learn more about my new home. The site was very well received and lots of fun for me, so it continues. Read the "Official" Disclaimer. Keep tongue in cheek while reading... The addition of Sylvia Lake merchandise was possible through the online services of CafePress.
A portion of the cost of running this website is supported by a donation from the Sylvia Lake Association, for which I am very grateful.
