This site is owned and operated by Shari Barnhart, a resident of the Sylvia Lake's North Shore and St. Petersburg, Florida.
The website began in November of 2003. As a newly retired teacher, I needed a project to keep my skills sharp and give me a way to learn more about my new community.
The website's purpose continues to be "to create an online community for summer and year-round residents of Sylvia Lake."
The site is not the Sylvia Lake Association website, but I do provide a forum for Association events and activities and receive a stipend from the Association for web hosting expenses, etc.
If you would like to make a contribution, I would be very grateful. PayPal allows you to contribute using a credit card. You do not have to create a PayPal account. (FYI: Only one person has ever contributed...)
